Twist, Bend Back, Fold Forward, Breathe
Some people say they are too inflexible to do yoga, but that’s like saying they are too dirty to take a shower!
Regular practise of yoga improves flexibility, no matter how stiff, how inflexible or how old you are when you start.
Early in the morning, most people are stiff after sleeping, so if it is hard for you to work yoga into your day in the morning, try adding ten minutes after your walk or fitness routine.
Start with a twist, a backbend and a forward fold. These are a few gentle variations to start.
Do them every day, or at least three times a week and you will see a difference within two weeks.
Hold each posture for 5 full deep inhalations and long slow exhalations. Relax into the exhalation and let your muscles, organs and joints move deeply into the stretch.
